When a financial institution offers RDC services, what steps should be
taken in advance, and what measures should be taken on an ongoing basis,
to ensure that the bank's RDC business complies with applicable laws and
regulations, payment network rules and agreements, regulatory guidance
and expectations, and sound principles of banking and risk management?
RDC risk management includes some front-end work and some ongoing
monitoring across many areas within the institution. In this session you
will hear a payments lawyer and a hands-on consultant and external
auditor discuss these risks and how to manage them using a combination
of legal and business tools. Session attendees learn how to use their
bank's RDC agreement to identify and manage risks, what bank examiners
will look for when they review a bank's RDC service, and real world
lessons based on actual RDC operational reviews and external audits.
